Downtown Nashville

On the steps at the Naper Settlement (Martin Mitchell Mansion - 1883)
About the home: George Martin, a Scottish immigrant, built this home for his family. The Martins achieved their success by using the area's natural resources. Clay and limestone were made into bricks, tiles and stone blocks for use in local buildings as well as structures in Chicago after the Great Chicago Fire in 1871.
